I wanted to extend the rental for another 3 days. I spent 4 1/2 hours talking to 9 people, calling 7 phone numbers. One of the numbers I was given was a local number that said I could talk to someone at the ATL Thrifty counter. After calling that number 47 times with NO ONE answering, I had to drive 4 hours back to the ATL airport to return the car. After checkout, I got a text saying there was damage to the car and I was to pay for the damage. It took over an hour to have them show me the car which showed NO DAMAGE ANYWHERE on the car, corroborated by one of the Thrifty employees, I was given an email address to contest their CLAIM of damage. I can see why Hertz went bankrupt, was fined $168,000,000, and went through 3 CEOs in 3 years. I would not be surprised if they went bankrupt again - soon.
