Learn all about the mangrove eco-system, while paddling through a maze of mangrove-canopied canals and streams, that are home to an incredible tropical array of birds, rays, sharks, sport fish, and more. And, no worries if you’ve never kayaked before; our kayaks are very stable sea kayaks that novices from ages 6 to 90 and beyond can easily paddle with a few simple instructions from your guide.

Your half-day cruise from Key West starts at the Opal Key Resort Head out into the waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge, where you'll enjoy a guided kayaking tour through the mangrove habitat and go snorkeling in the clear waters of this protected environment. Your guide provides instruction for kayaking and snorkeling, plus tells you a little about the history of the area. Use of all gear is included, as well as snacks and beverages on board.

My boyfriend and I were on a weekend trip vacation for Valentines Day. We were so excited to be in the Keys and we were looking to do something fun. Our concierge gave us different options and we decided to do the kayaking and snorkeling it seemed like a fun adventure for us. The night before our trip I was feeling very sick with a lot of pain. Around 7 I told my boyfriend to call to let them know we wouldn't be able to make it because I could barely walk with the pain I was having. Tiffany was extremely rude to my boyfriend and said there were no refunds and was not understanding at all. The hotel concierge also tried to help us but they said to call when there was a manager. Later on in this day, I was feeling better and I decided to call myself. Again Tiffany answered I asked to speak to a manager and her reply was "I'm like a manager" I insisted on speaking to a manager and she kept repeating she was like a manager. I explain to her the situation and she said we had never called that this company could've sold our seats if we would've called. Then she asked if I had a doctor's note explaining I was in so much pain... this made me very upset as I do not feel comfortable going to any hospital or doctor that is not mine and we were clearly on vacation. Tiffany then tells me she can't do anything until the manager comes in the next day which made me very confused because she said she was LIKE A MANAGER. The company ended up refunding us the money that same day. Tiffany should've been less rude to me and my boyfriend and not make some absurd claim about her position because I've never heard a position called "like a manager" especially if she couldn't do anything except being insensitive. Although we got what we wanted I wish the situation would've been handled more professionally because I would've liked to experience this activity at another trip to the Keys, after this experience, I will not be paying for others to speak to me this way.

Eliany, we are so sorry to hear that you were sick on your vacation. We completely understand what it is like to not feel your best - combine that with being on vacation and it makes it even worse. We hope you are feeling better and had a safe trip home. With all that being said, Danger Charters has a 24 hour cancellation policy on parties of 4 or less. Our main reason for this policy is because we like to keep our charters intimate, so we take out around 20 people. Space is very limited. It is very similar to making a reservation for an airline ticket. We turn away people daily due to being sold out. As per Tiffany, I simply must defend her. She is one of the friendliest employees at Danger Charters. She is on the front lines day in and day out and we have never ever seen or heard be anything but polite and professional. She must constantly and politely reiterate our cancellation policy. We know that not all people agree with our policy but as a company we would miss a great deal of business through the course of the year if we do not implement it. What we usually do is offer a credit toward a future trip when this occurs unless we are able to sell the seats then we would refund. This seems to be the best solution for both parties. In your case we did go ahead and refunded your money- Again, we are very sorry you got sick. Hopefully you will be able to come back and actually go sailing with us, we have no doubt you will love the experience.

Thank you Captain Janet and the crewmember Mary and Brianna for the great time during the tour. The day was sunny, warm and windy and you did your best for us to enjoy sailing, snorkeling and kayaking. I felt safe and appreciate that you beside navigating the ship, organizing all activities, also find time to provide us a lot of interesting information as well personally chat with us.
