Overview

Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before heading into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

Private safaris have no age minimum.
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Dave, our guide, was on time at the hotel and took us straight to Creekside Market to pick up breakfast. The tour was very good - we had booked a private tour because we wanted specifically to see moose and we saw a lot of moose before moving on to other wildlife including bison, bald eagles, longhorn sheep etc. Dave was a good guide - he didn't talk incessantly but imparted a lot of local knowledge.

We have just returned from a winter half day safari with Grant (Bell) and it was once of the best guided tours I have had. Grant was very knowledgeable, not just about the wildlife, but the local history. We learnt a huge amount in 5 hours and saw some incredible wildlife, a particular highlight was two bull moose butting antlers! I would highly recommend Grant and Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris to anyone who wants to learn more about the area and see, first hand, the amazing beauty of Jackson Hole and the surrounding regions. Coming from Hong Kong and Sydney the difference could not be more profound!

Our guide, Grant Bell, showed up on time but suggested we reschedule due to extremely high winds. He accommodated us the next day, which was a Sunday as we were leaving Monday. Excellent recommendation as the next day was beautiful. Grant blended his experience with our desires and agenda to make an incredible trip for our family of seven. We have been on a few safaris before, and this was so, so much better than the others. Excellent company and an even better guide. I suggest you ask for Grant Bell, you won't be disappointed.
