Overview

Explore the National Elk Refuge, home to thousands of wintering elk, hundreds of bison, bighorn sheep and an array of bird life before heading into Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole’s wintering wildlife is abundant with opportunities to see bison, elk, deer, moose, fox, coyote, bald eagle, trumpeter swans, and if we’re lucky, wolves. If time allows we might also choose to stop at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center or the new Moose visitor center in Grand Teton National Park. The route varies seasonally based on group interest, road closures and wildlife migration.

Private safaris have no age minimum.
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

What an incredible experience! McKenzie was the best guide. We opted for a private tour since our animal loving kids are only 8 & 4. It was a splurge but definitely worth it and our favorite part of our trip to Wyoming. We made incredible memories and saw so much wildlife including a bear! If you and/or your family want a unique experience to see wildlife in their natural habitat book this trip! You won't regret it!

Our guide, Cody, knew where to find various wildlife and gave our grandchildren great opportunities of their young lives. We are very appreciative of our guide and the trip he provided.

We had a great time with our guide Cynthia! She was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and other interesting things about the area. She was also great with our 3 children (ages 8, 10 and 13). She pointed out so much we had been driving by and not even noticed. The next day our children would point out birds and nests as we drove knowing now what to look for. She took us down unpaved roads we would not have gone on otherwise. We also appreciated the van setup with water, snacks, binoculars and spotting scope. The kids really enjoyed having binoculars to use. It was nice to do the private tour so she could adapt it to our family and we didn't have to worry about our kids bothering other guests. It was also helpful to know what wildlife (and the signs that wildlife have been there) to look for on future trips!
