Brooklyn Food Tour: The Flavors of Williamsburg

Overview
This walking food tour is a window into what makes this neighborhood so special. You'll experience the historic roots of the area at Northside Bakery which specializes in authentic Polish pierogies and desserts. From there, you'll visit the "Best Pizza" shop in town, and have a sit down food and drink stop at Tacombi. The tour ends with a dessert stop, a functioning chocolate factory! Between food stops, your expert guide will show you the sights of the area, including breathtaking waterfront views of the Manhattan Skyline, and narrate the history of one of New York's most colorful neighborhoods.

I thought our tour was very good. Our guide was fun and enthusiastic and did a good job with a full group of 12. I did think we would get more history about Williamsburg area but it was sufficient. I thought most of the food choices were good. One place was out of one of the items and replaced it with something I thought was just OK. And, I understand that some people might not have had NY bagels before, but having small samples of bagels would be a better option so you can save room for the amazing items like pizza and maybe 2 tacos instead of 1! The chocolate tasting was good but I really would have loved to try some really super yummy dessert from the area. Overall, we had a great time!

We tasted several different food types and learned some great history/tidbits of the area. The area has some me fun shops and we hung around for a cocktail at an historic restaurant.
