I went to QC Spa for the second time and I really enjoyed my experience. The facility is really inviting and relaxing with an amazing city view. Also, the staff at the reception was really warm and inviting. I highly recommend trying the outdoor pools (heated and available during the cold months), the shower beds with a body scrub at the lower level, and the foot bath. The service and food selection at the bistro has room for improvement. The service is really slow and time consuming at the bistro. The food selection isn't worth standing in line for but i wasn't there for the food.

My friend and I were excited to check out this spa so decided to go and celebrate my recent birthday. I called the spa and inquired about the law enforcement discount as I didn't see where to input it when I made the massage reservations. They stated just tell the front desk when you arrive. My friend and I arrived and I told them what was said to me on the phone. They stated they would apply the discounts. I ended up being charged an exorbitant amount which they did notice and remedy but my friend was charged 2x and was corrected the next day. I looked at my email confirmations and noticed we ended up paying more with the law enforcement discount. My friend reached out and was told this was because I had originally booked a package which was cheaper. I'm not sure why anyone would think I wanted to pay more with a "discount"? My friend received a reply from a staff member "Emaiyah" and he told them to contact me as I had made all the arraignments. They never reached out and they were emailed a few more times about this. The outside pools are beautiful with great views and the massages were good. The indoor sauna rooms are a maze. I would recommend a map to help guests find their way and actually know what is offered. The staff is friendly but not well informed. It takes a very long time to get checked in. We wanted to leave a cash tip on departure for our massages and they they wanted us to wait while they figured out how to do that. I cannot recommend this spa as there are so many great places to get massages in the area which offer seamless and cheaper experiences. If the staff member that initially reached out had followed thru I may have had a better impression of the spa.

First, the heated pool and massages were both great! However, service falls short of my expectations for a spa at this price range. I went with 5 friends as part of an overnight stay on Governors Island and we all agreed that service was lacking. The staff checking us in were unpleasant, so we started on a sour note. Although I was told by both the spa and the nearby Collective Resort that we'd get a 10% discount due to their relationship, the staff refused to give us that discount. They claimed it was because we booked a "package" of the spa entry plus massage. However, they also admitted that it is not possible to purchase a massage without buying the spa entry. So basically we could only get 10% off if we bought something they do not even offer for sale?!? The staff offered no information on the layout of the place or it's offerings. There is no staff in the locker room & no extra robes or towels...so we went to massages with wet robes after the pool, on a cool Fall day. When showering, towels can't be hung near the shower (which only has a curtain), but remain at the shower room entrance. Many self-treatment areas are shared surfaces and we saw no evidence of a cleaning staff around between uses. On a positive note, if you enjoy sitting in a heated pool with an amazing view of the city, that part is incredible. FYI, the pool is not really for swimming laps, as it is too warm and crowded. And it's also not a hot tub. Sauna rooms were nice. We didn't use the steam rooms. I realize my post contains small "first world problems" -- but if you are paying these prices, it's fair to expect better service. I don't plan to go back.
