Our guide was Ludie, an extraordinary, kind and dedicated woman who introduced us in Harlem, its history, people and music. Sometimes upsetting, sometimes moving but always a meaningful and interesting message. A Sunday to remember. Let's rock & roll!

We wantedto do the tour mainly because we wanted to take part to a Gospel mass. Yet, before the mass, a tour of Harlem was offered with a guide who gave (too) many explanations about some churches or ather places of the district. To do so she used an ipad to show us some illustrations and that was not very practical as we were a group of 45 people. Furthermore she teneded to get lost in her explanations which were really too long especially because it was a very hot day and we longed for a place where we could have some fresh air and rest. The tour lasted 2 hours and I think 1 would have been enough. We had a nice experience at the mass.

First of all, our tour was on an abnormally hot day, over 100 degrees with index. Our tour guide, Stefan, was cognizant of this and made sure to keep us in the shade throughout the tour. Stefan was extremely knowledgeable, I could tell he knew his stuff, he didn't use notes or anything like I saw other guides do. He gave us a lot of detailed info on the sites and area, and was also good at managing our group to make sure we didn't make the locals mad by being in the way. As far as the sites, we hit the major highlights and ended up at an AME church, which had a great service and AIR CONDITIONING! Overall, despite the ridiculous heat, the tour was very enjoyable and informative.
