This tour is filled with historic tidbits about the Hell's Kitchen area and Central Park. (For example, did you know that Hell's Kitchen got its name because two cops were walking the beat on a hot summer afternoon. One cop turned to the other and said, "It is hotter than hell today." The other cop said, "No--it's hotter than Hell's Kitchen!" ) We sampled food from ethnic restaurants that make this area west of Times Square an enjoyable experience, from Japanese BBQ to doughnuts from the underground mall by Columbus Circle. And, the portions were generous. I was glad we walked so much in order to walk off the calories. Our guide, Jenn, was so interesting. I highly recommend this tour--but be prepared to walk a LOT. If you aren't used to walking or tire easily, this probably isn't the tour for you.

Our Hell's Kitchen tour with Nancy was fascinating and fun! Besides learning historical tidbits, we enjoyed a variety of food. Warning: We've done other food tours that provide tasty samples, but this tour provides so much food that we weren't hungry for dinner until after our show that night. So make sure you don't combine this tour with an early dinner! We also appreciate Nancy's post-tour suggestions of other restaurants to try during our visit.

Annabel was a gem! So very personable and knowledgeable!! We were able to visit restaurants that we would not have chosen on our own and tasted some wonderful dishes in Hell’s Kitchen. Also, the Central Park tour was very informative and relaxing. Annabel was very accommodating to make sure we had arrangements to get back to our hotels or next desired locations. We had a very nice couple on the tour with us and enjoyed them very much. The small tour group made it extremely easy to hear our guide and to walk together. Great tour!
