My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour as led by Nancy. She offered entertaining stories about the neighborhood as we ate our way through the tour which she assured happened smoothly

Nancy was our tour guide and she was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the Hellā€™s Kitchen area; architecture, background info on the restaurants and some great stories to tell. She was interesting and fun. The food tour involved stops at 5 restaurants in the area. You wonā€™t be hungry when you finish this tour! My criticism is that 3 of the restaurants were really just fast food joints. One restaurant had only room for us to stand by the front window while eating. Another had no seating at all. We ate a very messy sandwich on the sidewalk with the pidgins cleaning up our crumbs. Not so great on a 25 degree day. Food was just average at these 2 restaurants. The food was outstanding at Gyu-Kaku, Spoon Fed NYC, and City Sandwich. For the price, I really expected nice sit down restaurants for all five. Central park walk was fun and helped work off the food.

Hi Debbie, I'm so happy that you had a great time with Nancy, but I needed to respond to this review less for our company than for the amazing food vendors we work with in Hell's Kitchen. Labeling them fast food is one of the most hurtful things I've heard someone say about these hard working, small family businesses that we have taken the time to get to know over the years. Fresh Portuguese sandwiches, Druze/Israeli goat cheese bourekas, and hand filled to order empanadas are probably the farthest thing from what anyone would label "fast food". I do not know why you were expecting sit down fine dining options based on the descriptions on our website and all our other reviews. We try to highlight the various ethnic cuisines that represent the diverse Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, while also supporting the small businesses that are the life blood of NYC. Most of what we eat in NYC is on the streets! Overall for the cost, you had a small group setting, 5 diverse and unique food stops, an incredible and knowledgeable guide for 2 neighborhoods. I would say that is definitely worth the price! Alex Vice President Manhattan Walking Tour

Nancy was a delight, she was extremely knowledgeable about Hellā€™s Kitchen and Central Park. We went to about 5 or so restaurants and sampled some amazing food, our favorite was Spoonfed. The stroll around Central Park, although a tad cold, was majestic. Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and for recognizing the fantastic Nancy! Central Park takes on a certain kind of magic under a blanket of snow, and we are thrilled you were able to experience that. We hope to see you again on another tour.
