What To Expect
1
Diamond Head State Monument
Travelers will be taken first to the Diamond Head Hike where they will complete the 1.5-mile trail. The diamond head is a very popular hike in Waikiki. The 0.8-mile hike from trailhead to the summit is steep and strenuous, gaining 560 feet as it ascends from the crater floor. The walk is a glimpse into the geological and military history of Diamond Head. Located near Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii that features beautiful wildflowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips and is accessible year-round.
2
Makapuu Lighthouse Trail
Once dropped off at Makapuu Lighthouse, travelers will be able to experience another type of hiking atmosphere. With views from the coast and the country, you'll be entertained with a view every second. If you're lucky in the winter times, you'll see whales. On super clear days you can also possibly see the other islands from their viewpoints. A must-see experience!

Both hikes are a must do. The Diamond Head is a more difficult hike but worth it. Bring a good pair of shoes and a good camera for both. The shuttle was on time and the drivers where great especially Cousin Mark.

Pick up was on time and the drivers where great. Shout out to Cousin Mark who drove us to and from the Makapu light house. Excellent driver, friendly and knowledgeable. Both trails are a must to do.

The views were great. The drivers were knowledgeable about the sites and places we passed along the way. The hikes were self-guided. Our tour was broken up into two days which was good since doing both in the same day may have been challenging due to the grades involved. The Lighthouse path was paved and relatively easy uphill walk and some stairs. The Diamond Head trail was a more challenging climb with mixed surfaces including dirt and rocks, semi-dark tunnels and stairs.
