This was a phenomenal tour: fun activities (kayaking, hiking in slippery mud, swimming in a waterfall), beautiful scenery, knowledgeable guide (thanks, Thomas!), and yummy lunch. Everything was well-organized and the tour was a highlight of our Kauai adventures. We were in a really helpful, kind group of participants, too, which made it even more enjoyable!

I have to be honest; I have no idea how Rainbow compares with the other companies doing this same, exact tour, and there are plenty of other companies doing this same journey. I'm not sure how anyone chooses one over the other. But I will say that we had no complaints about Rainbow. Our guide, John, was fun and funny at the same time, and clearly loves sharing the natural beauty of Hawaii with guests. The waterfall was much larger than we expected and kayaking is such a wonderful way to take in the beauty around you. Even though there were lots of other people doing the same thing, we didn't mind. While 4 miles round-trip on a kayak isn't a huge deal, we were both a bit sore the next day but it was so worth it. Being on the Waimea River and in front of that huge waterfall were highlights of our trip.
