What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

This tour is great! The river kayaking was just beautiful and the hike to the waterfall was great! Amazing scenery and not a strenuous hike by any means. Zach was a great guide and shared plenty of facts about the island and pointed out all the different plants and trees along the way. He had great jokes and kept us entertained the whole time. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my morning/afternoon!

We (husband, son & I) had an amazing time on this tour with Zach as our guide. He made sure we were all educated about how to control the kayak, the plants & history along the trail. He made sure we all had hiking sticks and felt safe the entire way. We had a GREAT time kayaking and then hiking up to see amazing views of the "Secret" Falls. Highly recommend taking this trip!
