What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

The kayaking part was really fun, smooth waters and taught me a lot about my questionable steering abilities. The hike was beautiful and offered a variety of different sceneries. Waterfall was amazing, would highly recommend getting into the water to feel the full power of it. Pro tip: If you plan on going behind the waterfall, bring with you a set of goggles if you want to see anything (think fire hose to the face). Would recommend highly! Zack was a great guide too!

Wonderful trip through the gorgeous Kauai forest, and a cool and relaxing kayak voyage along the Waimea river. Loved it.

All of it! Kayaking on a beautiful river, intense hike and definitely waterfalls worthy of the trip! Our guide Zack made it all fun, explained each portion of the trip in details, so we felt safe and secure even on the muddiest and slimiest parts of the hike
