What To Expect

Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

Zac was an awesome guide who cared for our safety and ensured we had a memorable and fun time. My friends thought his corny dad jokes were funny. 😂

The half-day adventure is an excellent way to explore a beautiful piece of Kauai. Our tour guide was professional and a great story-teller. After a short van ride to the river, our group of eleven guests selected 2-person kayaks and paddled 2.5 miles up the Wailua River. After landing on a sandy river beach, we hiked 1 mile to the falls along a lush path. The recent rains made the trail muddy, so we took care to avoid slipping on wet rocks. We wadded across a shallow river tributary and arrived at the falls ready for a swim. The pool at the bottom of the falls was cold and refreshing. On the pool banks, our group enjoyed an excellent lunch brought in by our guide. We then retraced our steps and paddles to return to our van. All of us had a great time!

What an adventure!!!! Kayaking and hiking to a remote site that is beautiful. The tour operators were well organized and Allen was amazing with his knowledge of plants during the hike.
