This was a wonderful tour and we had a great time! Maverick was an excellent guide and made the trip pleasant, fun, safe, and enjoyable. He was so knowledgeable and interesting along the trail and just a great guy in general. The views were spectacular both along the river and at the waterfall. This is a great trip for anyone visiting Kauai but maybe challenging for young children. They provided water, lunch and fresh pineapple. Our only problem was the traffic driving there from Princeville. We allowed an hour and 15 minutes to drive but we did not anticipate the road construction and got stuck at a complete standstill for at least 45-50 minutes. I called the tour provider and they were able to put us on a later tour as we simply could not get there. I appreciated there patience and professional willingness to work with us.

Zack was a great guide on this trip! He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. Overall we had an amazing experience. I would note that the hike should not be classified as ā€œeasyā€ - it does require the ability to climb up mud embankments, maneuver over boulders, fallen trees and roots. It is also quick paced. The waterfall is amazing at the end. This is a round trip excursion, so you face the same obstacles going back, including a 2 mile paddle upstream for a total of over 6 miles. If you have any physical limitations, this may not be the trip for you.
