Planning a trip to the Grand Canyon with my two young adult daughters, I called the lodge where we would be staying and asked for suggestions on activities. They suggested an Only Grand Canyon Day Hikes tour below the rim with Jon. I could not thank them enough. Jon picked us up at the lodge, gave us the equipment that we needed to make our hike comfortable and safe (snacks and Gatorade too!) and we set off on an exciting, emotional and sensational hike down the canyon. Jon’s knowledge and professionalism provided us an experience of a lifetime!! He explained a lot about the different types of rock, and the various animals you could find, which also made it very interesting. Once down the trail, Jon prepared dinner and we watched the sunset – words cannot describe the emotions we felt. We then began our hike back up the canyon and we had the most astounding view of the Milky Way; Jon then pointed out various planets and constellations. . An absolutely amazing hike!

Our hiking day with Jon was by far the highlight of our family spring-break adventure! Jon is responsive and professional, and covers all of the details and answers all of your questions before the day of your hike. As a result, booking was seamless, we knew exactly how to dress/what to bring, and we didn’t worry about a thing. Because Jon knows every inch of the canyon, he was able to show us so many interesting sights and beautiful vistas, peppering them with fun facts and cool stories. He is fantastic with kids and personalizes the hike to your interests. His pre-packed snack bags were off-the-charts and he personally made us an absolutely delicious lunch in the heart of the canyon! As a family, we wanted to get the true Grand Canyon experience, not just walk to the rim and look over the edge - Mission Accomplished! Jon exceeded our expectations at every fork in the trail!

We had a memorable time with Kevin. The organization is perfect and kind. The hike was adapted to the family level while including breathtaking views. Time to rest, admire, and take family photos in peace. Kevin is fond of anecdotes and winks: friendly and attentive to the needs of the group. We are equipped for hiking, batons, backpack, water and snacks. An investment without regret that I will make again without hesitation.
