My wife and I had a private horse farm tour with Heritage. This far exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide, John, was very outgoing and knowledgeable. The farms we saw were breathtakingly beautiful. We got to see five Kentucky Derby winners. We feed carrots to Silver Charm and others at Old Friends farm. We were able to touch and have our picture taken with American Pharaoh. Special thanks to Larry for setting up our visit to Ashford Stud Farm

On our first day visiting the Bluegrass region of Lexington, KY, we took the Thoroughbred Tours of the Kentucky Bluegrass. Our group was very fortunate to have Nick as our guide. He is a horse trainer from a long family of trainers in Lexington who knows the business and area so well. Our tour included a trackside early morning workout of thoroughbreds at Keeneland where Nick answered every question with his personal details and knowledge. Then on to local breeding farms and stops to learn more about training, care and breeding of thoroughbreds. It could not have been any better to begin our time in Lexington! When we went to the races at Keeneland later in the week, we felt so educated. Take this tour and try to get Nick as your guide!

We detoured on our road trip to Florida to take this tour. It was the highlight of my whole trip. Nick was our guide and he was fantastic! He was full of information and so interesting. We did the regular tour stops but we also had an unintended stop when we did a turn around, he happened to know the owner of the farm and talked to him and we got to go out and see the retired horses and feed them carrots and spend up close time there. Had Nick not been from the area and respected we never would have gotten that experience. I can just say fascinating, truly was. There were singles, families and couples on our tour and there was attention and information for all! I will do this again during racing season to spend more time at the track. Thank you!
