I am a horse racing fan and this was by far the best tour I have ever been on. Nick was our tour guide and his knowledge of the racing industry was second to none. Answered all our questions and gave us insights to the goings on of raising, training, and breeding horses. Plus interesting facts about the different farms and about what horses we could see. Fed carrots to Silver Charm and saw the great Curlin, and visited the burial site of Seattle Slew. I would recommend this tour to the fans of racing and also to people who just want to see and gain some perspective of the sport of kings.

Our tour guide was Matt (son-in-law to the owner of the company) he was very knowledgeable about the horses, racing, and the farms. We toured Keeneland, and 3 horse farms. Amazing tour! We learned so much about the horses. We even got to pet a few! We highly recommend this tour.

We booked this tour on line after reading other good reviews. We had toyed with the idea of going on our own to one or two horse farms, or the Lexington Horse Park, but our time was limited. The Thoroughbred Heritage Tour with Larry was a great choice because we were exposed to several farms, while being chaperoned in a comfortable van and taking in the scenery. Our group included three other couples, some of whom know much more about horses, racing, etc. than we do. Larry did a good job making it interesting for everyone, and answering our questions. Highlights of the tour include a visit to WinStar, home of Hall of Fame Champion Tiznow, and Seattle Slew's burial site in the courtyard of Hill N' Dale. We were picked up and dropped off at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, where parking is ample and the grounds are nice to walk around if you arrive for the tour a little early.
