Half-Day Thoroughbred Horse Farm Tour in Kentucky

Experience why Kentucky's Bluegrass Horse Country is world famous! This 3+ hour family-owned thoroughbred heritage horse farm tour offers a fun and informative tour that will provide you with a unique experience and take you through the heart and soul of Kentucky’s beautiful Bluegrass Horse Country. This is an interactive tour were you will get to touch and pet some horses.

You will visit a private farm that is exclusive to us and has had winners of both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes and will have two in the Derby this year!

  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • No food allowed on tour
  • Bottled water or covered drinks allowed
  • Collapsible wheelchairs with can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark
  • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
  • November 6th - March 18th: Minimum numbers of 4 guests are required to run tour.
  • Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional, or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury of participation in farm animal activities. "There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities." "By purchasing ticket/s you agree that Thoroughbred Heritage Tours is not liable for any injuries or death that may occur due to participating in a farm animal activity in Kentucky".

Old Friends at Dream Chase Farm
Take a walking tour to see past racing champions including Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm and Belmont winners Sarava and Touch Gold.

My husband booked this tour for us while we were in Lexington for RunTheBluegrass Half Marathon. We were both blown away by Nicks knowledge, personality and his laid back easiness. One of our top two Best guides we've ever had. We gained knowledge and respect for thoroughbred horse racing, visited Keeneland Race Track, saw beautiful horse farms and also visited Old Friends Farm Retirement facility for horse. Silver Charm stole our hearts :-) highly recommend this tour!!

Just returned from the most informative and enjoyable afternoon on one of Daniel's tours. We had the unusable pleasure of witnessing the owner and trainer of Magdalena Farms rate the new colts and fillys, one of them just 2 1/2 weeks old. We were just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time! Even without that wonderful experience, the entire tour was a great time. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
