This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

What To Expect

AVA Colorado Rafting

When you arrive to our Kremmling Outpost, you will check-in with our front desk staff, gear up, meet your guide, then load up on our vehicle to shuttle over to the trip start location.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Great experience for the family. Our guide, MAC, was awesome. So good with our kids, added to the awesome scenery and experience. Highly recommend this trip down the river if you have young children!

Aly was awesome! She was a great teacher as all 3 of us had never been rafting before. On the bus, the rest of the leaders were funny and they went over the safety procedures to a T. Thanks again everyone! We will be back for more rafting adventures soon!

It was our first time rafting. Our family consisted of 3 adults, a 16 year old, an 11 year old and an 8 year old. EVERYONE had a blast. My kids can't wait to go rafting again. Grayson (our guide) and Hillary (our driver and photographer) were great. They were super down to earth, friendly, funny and had great conversation! Our visit was in early June, right when the Coronavirus lockdowns were starting to lift. I really appreciated everything AVA did to mitigate any potential spread. Everyone was respectful and wore face coverings whenever we were inside a building or vehicle. Grayson did everything in the parking lot - including fitting our life jackets, to keep our time inside down to a minimum. The van was only half full and the windows were down the whole time. The AVA facility was top notch and made us feel very comfortable. I really appreciated Grayson's loud instructions while on the river. He made it a point to tell us that the volume of his voice was so that we could hear him over the rapids, NOT because he was mad. We all got a chuckle out of that. Grayson was funny yet still very safety oriented. He was great with my 2 younger kids and had all our names memorized within minutes. He helped my wife and I jump from a 30 foot high cliff into the river. He also helped the 3 kids jump from a 5 foot high cliff into the river. Nothing irks me more than when a company sneaks your picture, then prints it out and charges $20 for it. I hate waste - and this feels so wasteful. I LOVE that AVA takes a bunch of pictures, displays them on monitors once you return to rafting headquarters and gives you the option to buy one for $25 or all of them for $50. No waste here. We bought all the pictures and within minutes we had received an email link to download all our photos. The photos were super high quality and there were a good number of them. We couldn't have been more pleased. A great day was had by all!
