This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

Super scenic drive out from Denver to the "outpost", which was comfortable, well-organized and stocked with anything you might need. Staff greeted us by name as we got out of the car. Easy check in process, quick bus ride to the put-in, and all the safety instruction you'd expect. Really engaging staff made the day fun for all the guests and we got a little bit of local flavor in addition to some history and geology. Saw some bald eagles, hooped off a 30-foot cliff, and wrapped it up. In and out in about 3.5 hours; this is a great half-day trip and the first-timers in our group loved it. We'll use AVA or sure when we make it back to Colorado.

The staff was super friendly and made it a fun time. The rapids are not intense by any means. Nah go back and try paddle boarding next time!

It was so much fun! Jamie was an excellent guide and Devo entertained us with his wit and geology knowledge. The scenery was beautiful! We loved it and highly recommend everyone to experience it!
