Overview

This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

We took the entire family, including the 5 year old. They had a blast. It might have been a little tame for my taste, but it was perfect for young kids. Our guide allowed the kids to jump out of the raft twice, plus the 30 foot cliff jump. Next time I will try the 4-5 level so I can get a good thrill. Water was cold, kids dried out fairly quickly.

We went on the Colorado River 1/2 PM float with 2- 16yo, 2-12 yo and a 7 yo today. Our raft guide, Nathan, was excellent! Everyone in our party had a wonderful time! Nathan was informative and fun! We had three people in our group jump of the cliff. They were very happy that they took the opportunity to do this. The float down the Colorado River had beautiful scenery. I highly recommend AVA Rafting & Zipline for your next adventure! The bus ride to the river was a lot of fun as well with Nelson. Our trip was out of Kremmling.
