We went on the Thursday 9am tour. Our captain, and deckhand Dan were both very skilled, friendly and gave information at the perfect pace, they took us out on the most amazing trip! 4 hours on the water and it flew by. Our captain spotted around 12 whales feeding and alerted other boats but as we were there first it felt extra special, the grey whales were diving and then coming right up out of the water showing their full mouths. Lots of seals and birds were there too for the feast. As we headed back to land our Captain again spotted the most amazing find, he knew from the spout it was likely a blue whale and so we waited for its 16 minute dive to finish before we got to see it from afar. He waited another 20 minutes for it to come up again and we got up for a closer look. One of the most amazing trips I’ve been! Thanks guys!

The crew was fantastic. We saw about 20 whales at once. The entire group of whales were feeding together and it was very exciting to see in person. The weather was misty and cool but managed to stay warm with a fleece and raincoat. We saw dolphins and sea lions and a sea otter. Great trip and boat was not crowded. Had plenty of room to move about and I liked that boat did not have an upper deck. Felt much closer to the water and sea life. Also loved the waves but could see how one could get sea sick. Highly recommend this boat tour. Took the 9am tour.

My first whale watching tour and it was amazing! The boat was smaller than others around, so I wasn't sure about the tour at first. Before we even were out of the marina we came across a Sunfish. Just the start of things to come. Once we spotted the first whale in the distance, it was on! We came across 3 or 4 pods/groups of whales converging all around us, it was awesome. Then we saw a Blue whale! Our captain Isaiah was knowledgeable and skilled, and his deck hand Monty took some amazing pics which he shared with us...so cool. We also got to see Dall's porpoises, Risso's dolphins, and Harbor porpoises. I would definitely recommend Discovery Whale Watching!
