We did the whale watching tour today 12/04/24 as a family (we have a young boy who’s 3) and my wife is pregnant.
They were very welcoming from the off an explained that they would happily welcome us aboard but be aware of the risks of falling on board if the seas were rough (they weren’t).
We saw lots of whales whilst on the trip including a mother and her young calf seemingly playing together. We saw lots of tail flips and breaches which were so cool to see.
Isaiah our guide was great, really good fun and explained to us a lot of what we were seeing and things to look out for.
All in all we had a great day out and the photos and memories were well worth the trip.
There’s free tea, coffee and hot chocolate on board which is nice as a bit of a warmer because it can be cold on the water.
Quick tip:
Make sure you dress up warm and it can be useful to have a waterproof coat to shield you from the ocean spray.
