Spent an amazing morning out on the Pacific with the brilliant team at Discovery Whale Watching. On the way out, we encountered sea lions and sea otters before catching sight of our first humpback whale. This soon became and mother and calf along with a third and fourth adult. The calf was very playful and breached countless times - truly jaw dropping and humbling to witness. My children were blown away and the marine biologist, Isaiah, was incredibly knowledgable and engaging. I was really impressed that he took the time to talk to my daughter about how he got into marine biology - as she hopes to do something similar one day. The whole crew were excellent and we had a morning that we will never forget.

We all loved the trip. The guide was very informative and helpful. We saw sea otters, sea lions, several humpback whales, and Russo dolphins. One of the humpback whale calves breached multiple times which was so amazing to see. We would highly recommend this trip.

We had a great trip!! From the captain to the first mate, everyone was polite and nice but also very knowledgeable! We saw one blue whale, risso dolphins, birds, sea lions and sea otters but the highlight was two humpback whales (mother and daughter) that we watched for a long while. They breached multiple times and came so close the captain had to stop moving!! My kids learned about the ocean, Monterey Bay Canyon and ocean mammals. BONUS!! Our captain and naturalist (Isaiah) took and shared (for free) photos and drone footage. Photos and video can not do justice to seeing them live, but is a lovely memory to take back to show family and friends. What I loved most was many of us arrived early, so the boat left early!! Once we had a full boat (this outfit has at least three) we were off. No sitting around waiting for the clock and we stayed out until the return time. We definitely got extra time (which should not be expected) but proves they are a quality crew. Boat was clean, snacks for purchase and complimentary tea/coffee and hot chocolate were available.
