Hamilton's Wall Street

Overview
Alexander Hamilton envisioned modern America and the seat of the nation's financial power more accurately than any other Founding Father. Creating the Bank of New York in 1784 and the First National Bank in 1790, he eventually restored national credit to a bankrupt country, and by doing so birthed America’s most critical financial systems. Hamilton's vision has defined Wall Street more than any other person in history to date.

This tour explores the city of New York in Hamilton's life, and the deep impression he left behind. As we uncover the secrets behind his inexhaustible drive and his unimaginable achievements, it explains his relentless effort to leave his bold impression on his adopted nation.

1
Federal Hall
bathroom break
2
Trinity Church
We will also visit the graveyard of Trinity Church to pay tribute and respect to the Hamilton's at their final resting place.
3
Battery Park
This tour will start at the Battery to recall the battles of the American Revolution and the toll New York paid for Independence during the war, and will describe how Hamilton rose from Captain of an artillery company to the right hand of Washington himself.
4
Wall Street
Not even Pennsylvania Avenue invokes a greater image of power in the imagination than the concrete canyons of Wall Street. The financial epicenter of American commerce and business, its very name seems too large to be contained on the short narrow street itself and instead has become a symbol of global finance.
5
Fraunces Tavern Museum
Stop at Fraunces Tavern for a drink in one of Hamilton's old haunts. Join us as we celebrate the life and work of America's most accomplished and complex Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton.

We had a great experience with Eve and Asja’s as guides, they talked very detailed about the spots we visited and made it so much fun for my 9 year old, they were very dedicated. They recommended more places to visit and all related to our visit.

My 10 year old daughter and I joined Jimmy this morning for a 4 hour walking tour of lower Manhattan. Jimmy is an acclaimed expert on the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton, the other founding fathers, and American history. His knowledge is encyclopaedic and his delivery is dramatic and highly engaging. Kept both myself and my daughter enthralled for the whole time. We visited Battery Park, an old Tavern, Trinity Church, Federal Hall, Wall Street and other secret spots related to the life and times of Alexander Hamilton. At many times we felt like we were in the middle of an amazing play as Jimmy recreated the stories of the American War of Independence, the early years of the Republic, and Hamilton's tumultuous life and relationships. My daughter, who is a huge fan of Hamilton the musical, loved the many times that the tour intersected with the various songs from the show. And I appreciated how well Jimmy brought to life key values and ideas that America's founding fathers lived and died for, which are still incredibly relevant today: including issues relevant to the Constitution, the financial system, immigration, trade, the free press. I can't recommend this tour enough. Jimmy is a virtuoso in every way and if your love Hamilton the musical or your just love history, don't delay. Other tours may be cheaper but our group was tiny compared to other groups we saw walking around (just 3 of us compared to 15-20 in other tour groups) and the play-like delivery of the information was worth every dollar.

We spent 2 days with Jimmy - first Hamilton’s Wall St followed by Harlem the next day. We loved every minute of both days! Jimmy’s enthusiasm, passion and endless knowledge made for 2 fantastic days. He made us laugh, while at the same time giving us lots to think about. Especially important these days!
