For each passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, or combined weights of 420 lbs per couple, an additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
It is recommend that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.

Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat. We follow the same FAA regulations as the airlines.

Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter

Haleakala Crater

The multi-vision video system records all the great sites of your tour, including the pilot narration set to background music. After the flight, you may purchase the flight recording on a USB for an additional charge.

Due to low clouds, flight to Haleakala and Hana was revised to see NE Maui and NE Shore of Molokai; Disappointing but not the fault of Air Maui. Back seat placement limited views out the side windows but Cameron, our pilot was friendly, informative and knew and appreciated the Hawaiian islands.

At the last minute after they had us put on life jackets and prepare to board the craft they told us the tour has been changed because the crater is fogged in. Their excuse for the last minute notice was that the pilot just told them about the fog. The agent said I should have known it could happen because I've lived here over 40 years. When we walked out the door after changing to another day we could see the clouds over the crater right there from the parking spaces. If I should have known because this was so common why didnt'n they look out the front door while we were in the waiting room and give us an option then?

On the morning of our scheduled flight there was a traffic accident that prevented our group from making the tour. The staff was very understanding and did everything they could to accommodate us during out stay be it another flight that day (split up group) or another day (we had it scheduled our last day). When that was not possible, they were very kind and generous to refund our tickets and were a joy to deal with. I will definitely be booking this next time around
