We did the morning tour, arrived at 8:00 to check-in. Goldie handled the 'crowd' very well; maintaining a wonderful smile and friendly to all. We liked the fact that it is a family run business, you could tell the pride of ownership...but with a low-key feel.
We kayaked in the stream area; the guides were very informative giving history of the island and working the surroundings into the information. They were very patient with all questions.
Then we went out to the Pacific. That made me quite nervous, but was reassured that it would be fine. We paddled the waves over to Hideaways beach for snorkeling. My husband ventured out further than I did, but it was still an awesome experience.
We were given a healthy lunch; turkey sandwiches, cherries, chips, drinks. Some of the guides played music and sang; very nice touch. Then it was time to head back. Going back was a lot easier and not as nerve-wracking, however, one couple did get toppled (glad it was not us).
All it all, very low-key; but just what we were looking for in our first kayaking trip (ever!)
