I expected a Gospel Choir experience and that’s exactly what I got. All the singers were powerful, passionate and inspirational. Yes, it was loud but it was fun and interactive as well. Meeting the volunteers there and supporting their little cafe was a privilege. I loved it!

I expected church gospel. What I got was rock concert with drums and ear smashing loud shouting into 7 microphones at once. I had to cover my ears to get trough the performance but I could as well stay outside the church and hear just as well if not better. Long story short, if you value your ears, either bring your own earplugs or avoid this place altogether.

A must-do if you visit NY and want to get a first-hand gospel experience. Everyone was very warm and kind. I´ll definitely repeat it on my next trip to NY.
