We went on the “Walk this wat - Harlem Hip Hop tour” with our guide Ebe Rayze. He was a real nice and very enthousiastic guy and knew a lot about the history of Hip Hop. We learned a lot and saw great things from Spanish till Central Harlem. But WoW, did Ebe run fast ;) It’s a recommandable tour.

Def a must while visiting NYC. It’s a 4 hr tour with a lunch stop in Harlem. We got to experience the birth of Hip Hop & the four foundations of hip hop to include breakdance and graffiti but I won’t spoil it for you. You won’t be disappointed and there will surprises along the way. Bring cash for lunch and merchandise.

I took my 13-year-old grandson on this tour. The guide was pleasant and friendly but not very knowledgeable about current hip hop and only moderately knowlegeable about Harlem. This was not helpful for younger people and for non-New Yorkers. Pointing out where Malcolm X built a mosque is fine.....but not helpful if there isn't a better explanation of who Malcolm X was! Saying that a street is named after Adam Clayton Powell who was a US Congressman is fine....but not very informative without a fuller explanation of Powell and his role in history. Harlem has a full and fascinating history.....this tour does very little to explain its richness.
