Best tour in New York! Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting. Our guide Rayza was enthusiastic and had bundles of energy whilst informing us all on hip hop and the culture in Harlem!

Our tour was moved to a day earlier because there was predicted rain, no problem. King B breakdancer welcomed us it was his first day so he was quiet but later on he warmed up when asked to give breakdance demo which he did well. The energy levels shot up when Rayza arrived and got everyone to join in with saying names and clapping along to his freestyles. His repartee was great, stories about Spanish Harlem and the famous graffiti wall . The four elements were repeated till we had it down and the day Cool Herc started hip hop. Aug 11, 19 .. you have to go in the tour to find out what year. My son Nathan constantly asked questions and Rayza was happy to oblige and later encouraged him to perform his own rap outside the famous Apollo. We visited other spots in central Harlem where our guide gave an exposition on gentrification and a political breakdown that was from the heart and spot on. Nathan is a huge fan of rap and hip hop and was sceptical about the tour before we started but was more than happy with the whole thing and so was I. Highly recommended.
