Its very unfortunate to write a review like this. When I read about this tour I was super excited as I will be seeing Harvard University for the first time. They have shown me from outsode of the university, literally we just toured on the roads never entered campus. By the time we are done with the tour and I wanted to see the campus, securty didn't allow me as the visiting hours are completed. They just did time pass by showing all non sense things for 1.5 Hrs. I should have realized this in the first 30 mins but ended up being a scape goat for this. I may not go to boston again, but these people have collapsed my thoughts to visit Harvard University. One sincere recommendation, you don't need any such guides to see Harvard, its open for public, please feel free to go into campus direclty to get the best experience. To don't need to know the history of every gate in Harvard as long as you get to enjoy yourself being in Harvard University.

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't love the Hahvahd Tour! As your guide mentioned, the university has closed certain parts of the Yard to tour groups. This is unfortunate but thankfully, as you now know, the campus is much more than just those areas! Our tour still includes the Science Center, Memorial Hall, The Harvard Art Museums, the upperclassman residential houses, the Malkin Athletic Center, Farkus Hall (home of the Hasty Pudding), and the Harvard Lampoon. And of course our student guides provided you with plenty of stories, history, and insider knowledge that you certainly would not have gotten just wandering around on your own. As you mention, the full yard *is* open to individuals so we also always include our recommendations for spots to visit on your own. We would be happy to have you on another tour in the future when the full yard re-opens, no charge. Again, I'm very sorry to hear you did not enjoy the experience.

This guided tour of Harvard University was a great way to see and learn about one of the premier academic institutions in the United States. Our guide Roddy, a sophomore, was very knowledgeable, funny and did a great job. He could answer any question you might have. Unfortunately, tours aren't allowed inside the "Yard" but it isn't that big a loss because you can go into the Yard by yourself after the tour now knowing which buildings are which and the story behind them -- and the famous Harvard statue, of course. Plus it's just interesting to look at all the students walking about, knowing they are America's elite. Highly recommended if you want to really see Harvard.

What can I say about this tour? It was magical. Our tour guide, can't recall his name, was terrific: funny, irreverent, knowledgeable. In addition to telling tales about Harvard history, culture, and norms, he peppered in some personal anecdotes which made the tour fun. Loved it! Highly recommend to those who wish to have a school-sanctioned campus visit but cannot because they are full or not being offered. So glad we decided to give this a try!!
