This was one of our favorite parts of our trip to DC. Our guide was fun, entertaining, knowledgeable and never broke character. If you like taking haunted tours, this is a good one.

It wasn't scary, but did have a lot of facts about DC buildings. Though it claims it is better-suited for adults, this is actually a great tour for families with children under the age of 10 who are visiting and know nothing about the city. Better to skip if you're local as it is an overview of basic facts and well-known stories about LOC, the capitol building and some other places. The tour was way too long, clocking in at nearly two hours with zero frights to pass the time.

My husband and I booked the tour as history nerds for our visit the weekend before Halloween, and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide was very professional and stayed in character the whole time. He was entertaining as well as educational, and knew all sorts of stories surrounding the Capitol Hill area. It was great imagining the history & haunts of the city, and we'd definitely do it again.
