We booked a private tour with Scary DC and we all had a great time. "Samuel Chase" was for sure entertaining. The ghost references were not exactly what we had been expecting; however it was still a fun evening. The view of the Capitol Building along with Samuel's enthusiasm for history was definitely a plus. Thanks Scary DC & Samuel Chase.

My daughter and I booked this tour (she is 12). The meeting location was very easy to find and Samuel was there early. He was interesting and personable. Once the tour started, he led us on a short walking tour (about 1/4 to 1/2 mile). Though the distance was short, the tour itself was jam packed full of interesting stories about the Library of Congress and Congress itself. the Capitol at night is quiet and lovely. It serves as a great backdrop for Samuel's narration. Who knew there were so many deaths on Capitol Hill? All in all, a great time.

The Scary DC tour is led by a gentleman in period attire, who meets you outside a Starbucks in Catitol Hill. But the familiar green storefront is the last modern construct that you see or notice for the next hour or so as you are shown some not-so-commonly-seen buildings and told some fascinating historical stories, each punctuated at their end with a little eerie fact. It being the first chilly evening of the encroaching Fall, the mood was perfect and it felt good to be scared in DC. A great time and a refreshing experience - and a one-man tour de force, guiding you around those haunted structures...
