The tour took place beginning at 8:30 PM on Pennsylvania Avenue near the Capitol building. The "ghost of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Chase" was our tour guide and was in costume and character the entire roughly two hour tour. He told stories of events that happened from a couple of hundred years ago and somewhat later, most of which resulted in hauntings that persist to this day. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the stories were very interesting, amusing, and gave a sense of what the area must have been like in the past. "Samuel" is very articulate, colorful, and the perfect character to lead such an outing. My wife and I have done many ghost tours here and in the UK and this is definitely one of our favorites. Well worth the walk!

A lot of walking, nothing to do with anything haunted, I don't think the word haunted was even mentioned. More of a history tour of graveyard and noteables that are buried there. Which is fine, but shouldnt be called a haunted tour. Group was too big that you either had to walk next to the guide to hear or figure it out on your own.

We did the Capital Hill area last Saturday and it was a fun time. Our guide was on time and very personable. Her name escapes me now, but she was really good. We walked a short area but the tour took about 2 hours. We got some great night time shots of the buildings and learned a lot of history. There are ghost stories and local legend mixed in but this is really a light and fun tour. You have to go into it with the idea of learning a little and having a nice evening out. I would recommend this for any age over 7.
