What To Expect

Old South Carriage Company

Our stable is where your tour experience will begin and end. After checking in you can say hi to our draft horses, watch an educational video, purchases a bottle of water, or use our restroom. As you board your carriage via our inclined ramp / easy loading platform, your certified tour guide will greet you.This 40 minute after-dark tour covers more than 15 eerie blocks of Charleston's old walled city.

We had Shannon and Jim for our haunted tour and it was great! I would recommend going around 8:30 for the best view of everything. Shannon was fun and informative! Highly recommend!(:

7/24/2021 we did the haunted carriage ride with “Jim” as our horse and he was great. Very well mannered, easy going horse. Our guide was funny with great stories that captured our attention the entire time. The carriage was surprisingly spacious with comfortable cushioned seats. Loved the experience and I’d do it again! Oh, I should add, we arrived there a little early as suggested and we got to see and pet some of the beautiful horses! Again, great experience and highly recommended.

Loved learning the history of the darker side of Charleston. Our guide was amazing and made the characters of the city come to life. I totally recommend this tour! Oh! And riding in a horse drawn carriage…priceless.
