What To Expect

Old South Carriage Company

Our stable is where your tour experience will begin and end. After checking in you can say hi to our draft horses, watch an educational video, purchases a bottle of water, or use our restroom. As you board your carriage via our inclined ramp / easy loading platform, your certified tour guide will greet you.This 40 minute after-dark tour covers more than 15 eerie blocks of Charleston's old walled city.

My mom, husband, and I went on this ghost carriage tour. It was so much fun! Our tour guide, Madison, did an absolutely amazing job! She had so many stories with great presentations and humor. I've lived in Charleston my whole life but heard new stories, which is always wonderful to me. The carriage ride itself was enjoyable as well, especially with our horse - Prince - at the helm. He did an amazing job and I definitely think he earned horse of the month! Although I personally did not see any ghosts, my husband believes that he may have in the St. Michael church's graveyard - as it was closed and he saw someone walking around there, which I did not see. Such a great time and well worth the money! I highly recommend this tour to tourists and locals alike.

It was a very nice, and informative ride. The weather was wonderful, and the horses were beautiful. We learned a lot about the surrounding buildings, and graveyards.
