  • Our public walking tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Tours are 90 minutes long and about one mile in length. My husband, teenage daughter and I took the Haunted walking tour which began at 8 pm. Our guide was dressed in a Sherlock Holmes-type cape with a masquerade eye mask and hat. He did have a microphone so we had no problem hearing him which was good. He was very informative and took us around to the most haunted locations in Salem. We enjoyed the walking tour and took lots of photos.

The tour guide told a lot of interesting stories about local folklore, hauntings, and ghost stories. The tour kept moving around the city, from place to place, but it was at an easy pace. The stories were interesting and told well. Everyone in our group labeled themselves as cynics; however, after one of the stories, my husband told me he thinks he saw that ghost earlier in the day (and yes, he was serious)!

Glad you enjoyed the tour.. It's wise to be skeptical and to try and debunk sightings. We always say the best way to convince a skeptic is to have them see something. We cannot guarantee you will see a ghost, but glad he may have seen something.
