Enjoy the darker side of Memphis and hear tales of the city's haunted heritage as told by professional storytellers. The city’s South Main Historic District – an eclectic, colorful area with some of the city’s oldest buildings – has a long history of sensational murders and ghostly activity. On this two-hour walking tour, you'll visit a number of haunted sites, including:
• The Orpheum Theater, home of "Mary," who has haunted performances since 1921
• The John Alexander Austin House, a Victorian era mansion haunted by star-crossed lovers
• The notorious Ernestine & Hazel's, a former brothel long recognized as one of the most haunted buildings in Memphis. We'll take you inside this creepy establishment, home to several ghosts as well as a haunted jukebox.

Within a few blocks there are four different parking garages, and several open-air parking lots. The closest garage to our location (just two blocks away) is at 149 Peabody Place between Second Street and BB King Blvd., next to the Hampton Inn. You can try your luck with on-street metered parking, too, on Second Street just south of Beale; on Beale between Front and Second; or along Peabody Place from Front to Fourth Street.

We were unable to attend due to being stuck in the Arkansas storms. We drove in from Texas & the weather did not cooperate but the tour guide called us to see if we were coming. I am planning on booking again later in the week but because she was so courteous to call I’m giving them 5 stars! She was enthusiastic about the ghost hunt & I definitely think we will enjoy it!

Patty was a great guide!!! She was very energetic, a great storyteller, and very accommodating to the guests on the tour. This was mine and my daughters second time to take the tour but it had been updated with a new route and some new stories. It’s an easy enough walk and you definitely get a great feel for some of the history Memphis has to offer!!! I highly encourage you to take this tour if you’re a history lover or are intrigued by the supernatural!! FIVE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
