Haunted Memphis Walking Ghost Tour

Overview
Enjoy the darker side of Memphis and hear tales of the city's haunted heritage as told by professional storytellers. The city’s South Main Historic District – an eclectic, colorful area with some of the city’s oldest buildings – has a long history of sensational murders and ghostly activity. On this two-hour walking tour, you'll visit a number of haunted sites, including:
• The Orpheum Theater, home of "Mary," who has haunted performances since 1921
• The John Alexander Austin House, a Victorian era mansion haunted by star-crossed lovers
• The notorious Ernestine & Hazel's, a former brothel long recognized as one of the most haunted buildings in Memphis. We'll take you inside this creepy establishment, home to several ghosts as well as a haunted jukebox.

Some of our group was running a few min late last night. It was raining where we were so they thought it was going to be canceled. I forwarded the email of me already asking about weather but they didn’t want to come with it raining. I explained I didn’t want to loose the money either and bc we were 10 min late I was told they couldn’t wait so I just lost over 100.00 anyways. I would like a refund bc who wants to walk 2 miles in the rain when the weather is calling for rain and it’s already raining in parts of the mid south and your website says one thing and the tour guide tells you another

Our tour guide actually did wait a little more than 5 minutes before departing. We really can't hold the tour very long for latecomers, though, especially when we're sold out (which we were on the night of your tour) and when there are many, many others who arrived early or on time. We believe that's fair to everyone, and has long been our policy; on our website's FAQs page we clearly state "We can't hold a tour for latecomers." That same page of our website also sums up our rain policy: "We occasionally cancel walking tours when there is a serious rain event (but not for light rain)." When you asked about cancellation, we said in reply that the tour was still happening, especially since it looked like the rain was going to hold off until much later in the evening. (Which in fact is what happened; it turned out to be a nice night.) All that said, I am sorry you didn't make it to the tour! We'd be happy to transfer your reservation to another night in the future. If you're still in town and are able to join us another night during your stay, or if you come back to Memphis at some later date in the future, just contact us and we'll take care of it.
