Great tour. Young was very good and showed us more than tgan was anticipated. He was a wealth of knowledge. Only issue was they did not pick us up at the place on the ticket. You do need to call ahead or when you get there to confirm the location.

Thought we were going to see some recent volcanic activity. Spent much more time in “tourist traps” like the macadamia nut factory & chocolate shop than we did in the national park. I would have loved at least 1/2 hour at the visitor center. Our guide was less than average, but pleasant.

John our tour guide was brilliant. Went beyond the tour I was expecting and showed us everything as described on the itinerary. PLUS showed us an insight into the 2018 eruption and the effect it had on the community. His personal insights into the events were amazing. Seeing the effects on the community as well as the normal tourist sights made it seem so much more real. Yes the tour overran but as the ship had an overnight stop this wasn't an issue. Communication from the company I couldn't fault. We were picked up at the port and returned after the tour. 5star service. Thank you for a really lovely day.
