We had a blast with Lohiao on his outrigger canoe. We were visiting Molokai for 10 days in January and connected with Lohiao and his mum. This family are a family of outrigger canoe experts. It’s in their DNA. It’s a family thing, going back as far as I know to Lohiao’s grandfathered probably further. Lohiao took my partner and I out in one of his many canoes. It was a beautiful, blustery day on the water in front of his home. We paddled out to not far from the reef and then caught the surf in. We did this several times. Lohiao is a great ambassador for this sport and we will be back next year to do more paddling. Aloha and Mahalo from Linda and Neil
