It was a great hike but very disappointing when we arrived at the waterfall site. Not much going on, I guess mother nature didn’t work with us. 2 reasons for low rating: 1) Tour guides were not much of a story teller. Had great knowledge going over but dried up quickly after hike. Became a boring ride. 2) Expectations for a great waterfall view are advertised, no mention of the possibility of a dry waterfall. Further about half way to the location the tour guide mentioned it probably wasn’t going to much of a view due to dry season. Again, no mention of that in tour description.

Aloha Robert.. Thank you for joining us and taking your time to comment on your experience. First, water output from our island waterfalls are mostly related to recent rainfall and this area exceeds150 inches of annual rainfall. Our summer weather is nicer because less rain, but then less water output on most waterfalls. Join us on our Koolau Waterfall next time. This one is not dependent on rainfall as it is fed by an active underground spring.
