I know they say that when viewing Trip Advisor you should discount the really over the top reviews but this is a genuine over the top review. My friend and I attended the Highline and Chelsea walking tour on 17th Sept - the morning of our 8th day in New York when our legs and feet were getting more than a bit tired. However, the aches and pains melted away the minute we met up with the group and our Guide, Eric. The group came from all of the world and were a lovely bunch of people. This was my 5th trip to New York but my first time walking the High Line and visiting Chelsea and the Meat Packing District.From the moment Eric introduced himself I pretty much wanted to take him home with me and make him my BFF! He was so friendly and absolutely hilarious. I don't think the tour would have been half as good with any other guide. He delivered the tour in an effortless way showing that he really loved this area of the city and definitely knew his stuff. His recommendations in the markets we visited led to me buying one of the nicest brownies I have ever tasted at Fat Witch and without a doubt the best cookie I have ever tasted from Duchess Cookies. It was still warm and soft with an amazing cheesecake filling. As I told Eric at the end of the tour that cookie changed my life!! As a home baker I NEED to work out how to recreate it! The High Line was beautiful and I am glad we started it off with a guided tour rather than just walking the length of it as we did after the tour as it brought it to life knowing about the history of it. I cannot thank Eric enough for such an enjoyable tour. We did quite a few tours on our trip as we had the Sightseeing Pass and this was definitely the best one we did due to Eric. I can't recommend it highly enough and I hope we get to do another tour with him on a future trip. Eric - I hope your wedding went as amazingly as you hoped. xx

Thoroughly enjoyed this historical guide and tour of the High Line , Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking district. Our tour guide Eric was very informative in a fun and friendly way giving us lots of advice on good eating places and other interesting facts about the local area. The walk was gentle and suitable for all ages. We had great weather but I imagine this tour would still be fun in different seasons. Would definitely recommend.
