Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

This wonderful tour doesnā€™t rush through all of Charlestonā€™s points of interest. Instead, it delves deeper Into highlighted points and ties it in to the cityā€™s history... exactly what we were looking for. Bill is great and very well informed ā€” nicely done and very enjoyable.

Bill was a very passionate and knowledgeable tour guide that truly wanted to give the real history of Charleston, not just the history in textbooks. He focused on the contribution of slaves to most of the town, the religious ties to the city, and very interesting facts. As a history major he knew a lot about pretty much everything. Bill also started the tour with asking the group if there was a way he could steer the tour to give specific information about what we were interested in. my wife and I honestly thought this was the best tour we have ever had and we absolutely enjoyed everything we learned.
