Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

She was enthusiastic from the moment we met her to when we left her. It was a very manageable group size and at no time did you feel detached. The 2 hours flew by as she showed us so many historical properties and churches. We learnt so much more than if we had just aimlessly walked around ourselves and the tour price was very reasonable

Palmer was our guide and she was terrific. We'd done another walking tour the day before, so she asked questions to modify her tour to pretty much avoid any overlap. She was so enthusiastic and full of great information about the city. We got tips for places to come back to for a more in-depth visit. At one home under renovation, we were lucky enough to speak with the construction foreman who gave us all sorts of info about the home site and the renovation process. We moved at a good pace throughout the tour and Palmer was great with any questions we had. Highly recommend the tour.

Group of four women had only three days in Charleston. We opted for this tour to learn the history and see some of the highlights. It was one of our favorite outings on the trip! Our tour guide was Palmer and she was excellent. She's extremely educated about every aspect of Charleston, and she was awesomely friendly as well. I highly recommend this tour!
