Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

We went on this tour on our first day in Charleston. Set us up perfectly for our stay. Alexandra was an excellent guide - enthusiastic, very knowledgable, entertaining and clearly believes in what she does.

This was just a great experience and a wonderful way to get introduced to historic Charleston. Our guide was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, which is pretty much all you could ask for. The pace of the walk was leisurely, yet we still covered plenty of ground, both literally and historically. Strongly recommended!

There were so many historic walking tours to choose from, and after reading reviews and getting a good second opinion from our concierge, we chose Oyster Point Historic Walking Tours. We selected a Sunday morning tour, which was perfect, as it was less busy. Our guide, Alexandra, was amazing. She was very energetic, knowledgeable, answered all our questions, took her time to be sure we weren't feeling rushed, and pointed out so many interesting facts about a city she clearly loves. We loved the areas we visited and learned much about the city on this tour. Would highly recommend.
