Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Oyster Point Tours!! William Harris provided a well balanced perspective of South Carolina history. He was a knowledgeable guide who easily answered questions presented by tour members.

Do not miss a walking tour with Oyster Point. We did a Civil War tour with Bill that far exceeded my expectations! He is intelligent, well spoken and a wealth of information. By far the best historical walking tour I have ever been on and I hit one in every city! Time and money well spent...

We are just back from a few days in Charleston. We took the walking tour on Sunday at 1pm. The group was quite small which was great for us. Palmer was an excellent guide. She asked what we wanted to get from the tour and she delivered everything we asked for. She is very bubbly and very enthusiastic. Palmer has great knowledge of the history of Charleston and puts it across in an enjoyable way. She recommended a few places that we could return to as they were closed on Sunday. We went back the next day to the theatre and the slave market. So pleased we did. Palmer was also open to any questions about other places to visit and places to eat or drink. Although it was a hot and humid day, Palmer made sure we were in the shade and offered us sun screen if we needed it. Would highly recommend the tour.
