Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

We met Dustin at the starting point of the tour on a cold but bright day. We were the only ones on the tour so effectively had a private tour of the historical part of Charleston. Dustin was extremely knowledgable about the history of the city and the homes/architecture of the area. We walked mainly through the historic district and around the Battery area by the sea. Dustin tells some great stories and has a great sense of humour so the tour went very quickly. He also gave us some tips on where else to go during our stay and restaurant options. A great introduction to Charleston.

It was okay. I thought the use of curse words was unprofessional. Also a little too theatrical/ wordy would have preferred more history and facts about the city and establishment of it. Less talk more walking.
