Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Learning a little history about Charleston. Living in North, I had no idea of the city's past. Great tour director.

My husband and I booked this tour last minute based on the reviews and availability that morning. What a pleasant surprise to find that you get every pennyā€™s worth of your money and so much more at a great price! Ben was awesome - he was knowledgeable, funny, and very engaging. We walked around the main sites of town and learned about the rich and interesting history of the city. It was a great way to start our trip and helped in shaping what our plans were for the rest of our time in Charleston. We highly recommend this tour - and doing it first thing in the morning (less pedestrian traffic on the streets, and as the tour progressed you could see other later tours from different companies getting started with more people out and about). Thanks Ben & Oyster tours for an excellent experience!
